SUMMER POLICIES 2024
Because summer is busy--packed with many classes, vacations, camps, and other activities--my summer policy is adjusted to accommodate busy summer schedules while still making an effort to maintain some consistency in piano practicing and lessons. In the "summer period" from June 1st to August 31st, 2024, there are 13 full weeks. Students will be expected to schedule—and pay for—at least NINE lessons. If we need to schedule two lessons in one week in order to get the nine lessons, I am willing to do so. If you would like to schedule more than one lesson in a week to get your 9 lessons, it is your responsibility to ask me for an extra lesson. Additional lessons beyond the nine may be scheduled, if desired, and paid for per lesson.
SUMMER FLEXIBILITY
I create a summer teaching schedule, but I know that things will come up. Since students are out of school, I can be much more flexible. Please feel free to ask if I have a different time slot available for a lesson if you have a conflict with your regularly scheduled lesson time. If we have a scheduled lesson and you do not attend the lesson and have not canceled the lesson ahead of time, you will still be charged for that lesson. If you must cancel a lesson, please give 24 hours’ notice so I can schedule someone else in that time slot. If you give less than 24 hours’ notice, you will still be charged for the lesson, as I likely won't be able to fill that time slot.
PAYMENT OF TUITION
Summer tuition is as listed on the following chart. You may pay for the first 9 lessons in one payment, or you may pay for the first 5 lessons at the beginning of June, and the last 4 lessons at the beginning of July. If you are paying in two payments, the first five lessons will be paid for at the beginning of June and the second four lessons will be paid for at the beginning of July. Any additional lessons beyond the 9 paid for in June and July will be added to September's invoice. Tuition will not be refunded or discounted if a student does not schedule 9 lessons.
